The hands that folded at night to pray
Were the hands that were used to protect her mother each day
The hands that were used to prepare them food
Were the hands that were constantly tortured and abused
The hands that folded at noon to pray
Were the hands that played in the the deep red clay
The hands that pushed him, shoved, and scratched
Were the hands that patted each sibling on the back
The hands the folded at morning to pray
Were the hands she used to reach out and yell, "mama can i stay"Her hands had so many jobs to do
Her hands even helped her get ahead in school

Facing a Day After a Hard Prayer

So I prayed all the way to work this morning. It took me about 20 minutes to get there. I had a trying time in my sleep so I knew that I needed to start my day off with Prayer to the all mighty God. As soon as I got to school I was already feeling 100% better. Talking about the power of prayer. Well me and my bestie decide to be nice and go get breakfast for the work crew and BAM! The mean laws follow me and give me a stinking ticket. 'WHAT DO YOU DO' Well life hits you in crazy ways at times and it is when you least expect it...I was hurt when the man wrote me the ticket because

I was totally honest

to him and he was just trying to meet his quota for the month and guess who was part of that quota? Yep! you guessed right I was....Jess Me. I cried and played the whoa it's me role and then I had to pick up myself and realize that the Devil thought he was going to take me down because of the power prayer I had with my master... But guess what... I am still going and he can not let me down.... Get thee behind me Satan... I wont let you tempt me...

It's Your Choice

Choices to be made can be really hard at times. Right? Yep! Right? That is what life is made up of. Me... I have a choice to be an educator or a broadcaster. I personally love doing both things. What choice will benefit me through life? I ask myself that all the time. I honestly believe that I am needed in both areas, not only that, I am awesome in both areas. Whatever I put my hands on turns into gold...sooo...which do I choose?

"I leave that in the hands of God because he will direct my path."

In addition to choices, we have to think of negative and positive choices. What am I saying? Choices such as, whether to do this drug or race this car in a school zone. What will you choose? The more positive choice of course...I would hope so...

"When we make a decision, we affect not only yourself but family, friends, and also innocent bystanders."

Choices will predict where we are going to be today, tomorrow, or even in the next minute. I may not know who is reading my blog but I just would like for you to know that your choices does matter, so make sure you choose the right one.I love you guys!!

The Advance Mind

I have the mentality to believe that I can do anything that I want to do when I put my mind to it, which correlates with my favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who gives me Strength. Without God I strongly deem that I will not be where I am today. Some of us get the saying wrong when we say “wait on God” and yes we absolutely should wait on him…. but we also have to take the initiative to do what you can to make these things happen. I did not write this blog to preach but it is necessary to know we need to do what have to do to get what you want... lol... as long as it is pleasing in the sight of God. I despise when people have so many high expectations of what they want their life to be but yet they are sitting on the couch Monday through Sunday not working, going to school, or even making a effort to achieve the goal that they so claim to desire. I bet you are wondering, “Who does she think she is”, well… I am not trying to put anyone down I just want you guys to take that extra mile to grasp your goal. Although, I will answer you question, I AM WHO I AM… Jess Me. I love you guys!
